Raven Field Archers, “the club,” takes your privacy seriously. The following policy details how we handle your data.
• What information we collect about you, why and how it is used.
When you join as a member, or register for a beginner’s course, we will collect data such as your name, date of birth, address, telephone number(s) and email address and your NFAS and AGB affiliation number(s). This is so we can provide you with a club membership card, process or check your membership with our affiliated organisations, ensure you comply with our insurance requirements and issue important notices. By becoming a member or beginner and giving us this information on the form implies your consent, as without it we cannot process your membership or beginner’s registration.
Additionally, we may wish to take photographs and publish your name on our website, on social media and in club meeting minutes and newsletters when we announce results or other news. We may also email you with information about our club’s merchandise, member/club updates and events, external archery events and information from your affiliated societies. For these, we need your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the club Secretary.
• How your data is collected, where is it stored and for how long.
Your data may be stored, on file, as a hard copy and on password-protected computer software and cloud storage. Only relevant committee members have access to your data. Ex-committee members are required to hand back or delete any items of personal data that they possess.
If you become a member, your data will be held for five years from the time you cease to be a member, then your data will be anonymised and archived. Your data will also be retained by the club the three years on completion of a beginner’s course but not registering as a club member.
• Who your data is shared with.
